Provence is (with Corsica) the oldest wine producing region of France. It is also the only region in the world which specialises in the production of Rosé wines (over 80% of Provencal wines are Rosés). Its geographical location gives Provence a lot of sunshine, with a strong influence from the Mediterranean Sea (for some estates) and from nearby high hills. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan and Mourvèdre are commonly used for Reds and Rosés, while the white wines can be made from Clairette, Ugni Blanc or Rolle. Provence wines are delicate and aromatic (Rosés), spicy and earthy (reds), oily and floral (whites). Our Provence wines are a vivid example of the beautiful colours of the Provencal landscapes … and the exuberance of its people.
